It started off with singin few songs...
Mom... Buwaji and a cousin bhabhi.. sang few songs..
then.. the ladies started to come home.. 4 of the aunties came in home..
Tilak nikala gaya.. and 'moli' bandhi
after which the moong were speread on the plate..
and the women tossed it with their hands..
so this way 7 women.. did this work
and then...

In a hankerchief.. some rice.. a silver coin.. and turmeric was mixed..
5 of us.. papa.. sadhuram.. buwaji and one aunty and me... rubbed it on our plams...
the purpose of this was to.. get the turmeric colour on the rice... and this rice is given to people as an invitation for marriage
In olden days.. there were no card system.. so this rice would be given or showed to other people..

In the end.. we ate... lapsi, kadi, rice...
:) so thats how it all went ....
